Gavarnie is down in the valley, when I saw this view ( and my way down) I was a little dismayed! I basically had to make my way down a very steep mountainside, into the Cirque de Gavarnie. Then the village was still almost an hours walk away. This was definitely the hardest part of the entire walk for me, as my energy was running low and my legs very tired. Still I enjoyed it ( in a way, somehow)!
